WORK PERMIT PROCESS

In order to get a work permit application, students must have THREE weeks of solid attendance (no cuts and no more than two tardies).

The application must be completed by the student, parent, and work supervisor.  It is important that the work supervisor complete the insurance information for their company/worksite - this is a state requirement.

The application must be submitted to the Main Office along with the student's ORIGINAL Social Security card and a photo ID(California Driver’s License, Real ID, passport, or school ID.) Photocopies of these documents will be kept confidential in the Main Office and will be shredded at end of year.

Students with work permits should maintain good attendance, grades, and behavior or their permit could be revoked.

To earn elective credits for Work Experience, students must have current work permits and will need to speak to the School counselor about being added to the Work Experience advisory class.
